Change of Status
I am on H1 B and I got laid off on April 12th,2010.I also own a house that I have to dispose. I am looking to apply for COS,I have 4 questions?
1. is changing from H1b to b2 is better?
2. is changing from h1b to f1 is better?(I have an I 20 for summer)
3. Can i apply for a new h1 b petition with a new employer when my COS for f1 or b2 is pending??
4. Will i be able to work for the new employer with just a receipt when my COS for f1/b2 is pending?
Please clarify the above questions.
