H1B transfer

Hi,
I am currently working for Company A on H1B.I just got a good offer from Company B to work for their Client(Company C).Company B is filing for my H1B transfer but has asked me to join on April 12,2010.Now,is it safe to join Company B and start working as their contractor for Company C before getting H1B transfer approved? How much time does it take to get if Company files my petition under premium processing from today,April 2,2010??I have to join Company B anyhow by April 12,2010.Company B has told me that I can start working for them on April 12 on H1B transfer receipt,no problem. But is it safe? Please suggest me the best and safest option if I want to start working for Company B and not jeopardize my status at the same time.I have been waiting for this dream job and can't loose it!
