My previous H1 stamp is valid till Apr 2011 and I94 date is also good through it. Also my previous stamp is in my expired passport and while transferring my H1 we had submitted copies of new as well as expired passport. I am currently working with small consulting firm on a direct client project with no layers in between. I am planning to visit India in May this year.

I have consulted with you previously and you advised that its not required to stamp again. But, my consulting firm attorney says to get it stamped again. I argued but they say that it will be safe to get it stamped again.

Are there any risk involved in to go again for stamping if my previous stamp is still valid ?
