I'm currently working for an IT company in India. My H1B petition is approved in 2008 & valid till 2011. I haven't gone for H1B stamping as my consultancy is not willing to provide client invitation letter which has now become mandatory for applying H1B visa in India. My husband is in US now and working for an Indian IT company on long term assignment(2Yrs). I would like to come on H4 visa. 1)If I get a job when I'm on H4 visa, can I apply for COS from H4 to H1B (My petition type 797B, Consular location Chennai) or I need to go back to India and get my stamping done. 2)My current Indian IT company is filing L1 for me. After I come US on L1,Can I change from L1 to H1 if I get another job through consultancy. In this case, can I apply for COS or I need for stamping in India.suggest 1 option
