Q.

L1 to H1 query.

I came to US in 2007 on L1. In 2008, I applied for H1 change of status through a company and got the approval I-797 with a valid I-94. However, I never joined this company and continued to work on L1 (for which i went out of US and came back on my valid L1 stamp with a new L1 I-94).

Now, in 2010, I want to use my H1 approval that I got in 2008 (which is valid through 2011). Can I still use it? Or has it been cancelled? If I can still use it, what would be needed from my end or from the new company who wants to employ me on H1?
