I am currently on H1 and my petition is valid until Jun 2011.I went on maternity leave from Oct 12 2009 and will continue it until Mar 6 2010.However, I will not be able to continue working and hence planning to convert my H1b to H4. I do not have any pay stubs as I was on unpaid maternity leave. Please let me know if this would be a problem during my visa conversion.Would I need some kind of letter from my employer for the period when I was on maternity leave ? Also could you let me know all the documents that I need to provide while transferring my visa.
My husband's H1-b is expiring in Apr 2010 and he has applied for an extension.Would it be a problem to convert my H1 to his H4 while his visa extension is in progress ?
