Q.

L1 to H1 Transfer

I am a L1 B Visa holder with company A and have applied for a H1B petition along with Change of Status(COS) with company B. The H1B petition was approved in 2010 quota. Meanwhile I have been to India in September and entered US in October 5, 2009 with my L1 visa from company A. and I am still working with company A on L1 from Oct, 09 till today. So my assumption is that once if we go out of country and enter back on L1 after effective date(Oct 1st), my Visa status will no longer change to H1B. Am I correct?
Is my L1 Visa still Valid? (L1 Visa expiry-April 2011)
Am I legally working with my company A on L1?
Is my H1b stil valid? if so it is valid until which date?
If I want to use my H1B,What is the process to get converted from L1(COS or get stamping from other country or we need both)
