H1B Employment Extension

I’ve been on an H1B for 6 yrs-expiring 02/13/10. My employer filed an I539 form & the LCA electronically for my H1B extension the 1st week of Jan. since I’m currently working on a grant for one of the programs in the institution. I’d asked them to file using the I129, but they used I539 because of my husband’s petition. My husband became a US citizen this year. While he was a resident, he petitioned an I130. He’ll file an amendment this week for this petition as he’s now a US citizen. So far, I’ve only received a receipt of the notice for the application from the USCIS. Am I still able to work with the receipt until the approval is received considering that I have only two weeks left before the H1B expires? What are my options? Where can I get that supporting information on the USCIS page?
