Q.

Changing employers after PERM is approved

PERM applied on 12/19/2007, close to getting a result.
Got 1 year H1-B extension (this is my 8th year on H1-B) till 12/21/2010 based on pending PERM.
Now the employer is closing my location in 3 months.
Assume that my PERM gets approved before that.
I have the option of going to another location for same employer OR change my employer.
In both cases, I have to file for a new PERM.

I am assuming that the current employer cannot file for I-140, since location is closing ?
If this is not true, please let me know.

Question:
If employer does not file for I-140, can I use the approved PERM priority date to get an H1-B extension past 12/21/2010.
In general, is there any way I can get an H1-B extension past 12/21/2010 ?
