My H1B came into effect from Oct 1st 2009 valid till 2012. Have not found a project and no pay stubs too. I wish to go back to H4. Foll are my Qs
1)Does the receipt notice of I-539 itself put me on H4 or I will be on H4 only after I get the approval
2)Will I be asked for paystubs if I apply for COS on Nov 25th '09– considering the No benching Rule which gets effective after 60 days for people who are already in the US
3)If I get a project while my I-539 is being processed can I cancel/withdraw my I-539 and will that put me back onto to H1B status And can I start working
4)Can a month off letter(for Dec) accepted by my employer help towards no pay stubs if I decide to apply for COS on Jan 1st ?
5)What reasons can I mention to take a month off letter other than sick leave
