Q.

Regarding change of status from H4 to H1

Hi,
I had my H1B processed through Company A last year(2008) through Conuselor process with Change of Status as No.I was on L2 visa at that time and as my H1B is NOT filed with change of Status,i continued on my L2 after October 2008 . Recently my Husband's company(say Company B) filed for a conversion of L1 to H1(in 2009) and he got his H1B approved petition and i got my H4 papers as my husband's company also filed for my L2 to H4.Now i am on H4 and i want to utilize my H1B thru company A and want to apply for a Job on that H1B.Can you please let me know if i can go for change of status from H4 to H1 and after getting approval of H1 , can i do job without going for visa stamping until my i-94 gets expired? Currently i dont have my H4 stamped as we got the H4 papers while i am in USA.
