Q.

H1 Extension Denied

I came here on H1 in Oct 2003 thro Company A
Went Back in Mar 2007.
Came back here in Sep 2007 thro Company B
Changed to Comapny C in Sep 2008 and got a Visa till May 2011 ( technically wrong since my 6 year ends Oct 2009)
Applied for a Time Recapture in May 2009 for the 6 months I was out in 2007.
Got the denial notice few days back ---- the reason given was I already have a visa till May 2011 so I need not apply for a time recapture/extension till then.
Now I want to go out of the country and also get my Visa stamped so was wondering if it is ok to travel and would it cause a problem when I go in for Stamping?

Would the consulate think that since my 6 years in H1 is up would cause a problem?
Should I reopen my case with USCIS and point out this mistake that occured?
