H1b denial

I got my H1b denial on oct 13th 2009,(they asked me client details and my employer has send inhouse project details which i am working currently)
still i did not get their denial letter,my visa expired on sep 30th 2009,so what i should now,can i appeal after getting the letter,
or i have any chance to convert to student visa or any other visa.
What are my other options right now to stay in the country,
after getting denial letter how many days can i stay in the country legally,
because i need to do so many things before leaving the country like selling the car etc.so please reply me with all options i have from here.
