Laid off on OPT with H1 B VISA approved

Hello,
I was employed with a company A from Nov 2008 to Jul 31, 09 on OPT (graduated in Dec 08).They applied for my H1 B visa in Apr 09 and it was approved. I was terminated on Jul 31 09. They did not revoke my H1 B VISA. I was unemployed from Jul 31 09 till date . My H1 visa started on OCT 1 09. Now I am unemployed on H1 VISA since Oct 1, 2009. The following are my questions

1.I am looking for a job now. In how many days is it recommended to find a job since my H1 VISA started on Oct 1 , 2009.
2. In case I find a job in this month or next, what are the chances of my H1 B VISA transfer. I have paystubs from company A till Jul 31, 09.What happens if my H1-B VISA transfer is denied?
3.I heard they are still accepting H1 B applications. If i get a job can i apply for a new H1 B?
thx
