Question on travel outside US when visa is about to expire

I currently hold H1B visa that is valid till Apr. 2010 and my passport is valid till Oct 2010. I am planning on getting married, sometime in mid January 2010 in India and plan to come back in early Feb. My questions are -
1. Do you think I may have issue at port of entry on my way back, as my visa would be expiring in a couple of months?
2. I would like to bring my fiancee on H4 visa. She would be going for visa stamping in early Feb 2010 in India. Do you see any potential problems in getting her H4 visa stamped and/or at immigration? Is there any 'minimum duration' for H4 visa rule around this, as I would have less than 3 months of visa at that time?
My employeer seems to be unwilling to file for an early visa extention petition (in Nov.) as he feels it is unnecessary.
Please advice.
