Q.

H1B employee temporarily want to work from different location

I am working on H1B visa in NY and my wife works in Chicago on L1B visa. Due to her poor health ( Doctor gave us his consent) I want to temporarily work one week from Chicago for my NY client and one week from NY for another 3 months. Is this legal ? Can I work permanently work from Chicago for my NY client ?
