Q.

STAUS AFTER H1 TRANSFER IS APPROVED

My H1 transfer got approved for three years on July 29, but start date of my new employment is Sept 1.I got a copy of the new I-797 and new I-94 on August 10. In the mean time my previous employer terminated my job on July 31. Though my current H1 stamp is valid until May 15, 2011. I was of the idea that I could stay up to 1 month before the start of the new employment. So I never left US during this time. Now I heard that this leeway is only for 10 days. I am really worried, that It might adversely affect me in future (i.e. visa stamping, GC process etc.). Please give your insights regarding this situation. I am very stressed.
