Q.

L1 to H1

I'm currently working on L1 blanket visa since July 2007 for Company A. I have a consular approved H1b petition through a consulting company B in 2007. The petition is valid until Oct 18,2010. My current L1 assignment is getting over and have to leave back to my country soon. Another company C is now ready to apply for amendment from L1 to H1b change of status. My question is during the amendment/change of status processing, if I had to leave back to my country, still would I be able to go for visa stamping through company C?

With out even applying for change of status here if I want to go back to my country and transfer my H1b petition from Company B to C and go for stamping, would that be possible and what is the procedure. Thanks in advance.
