H1B-2009 stil pending : Extension of L1 Visa due in 2 months

Hello,
My question pertains to a case as below :

1) My H1B Visa petetion filed by an employer who had made me an offer in April-2009 is still pending with USCIS (Shows states as Request For Evidence, which the employer said he has already responded to, and no further communication on it with employer).

2) I am currently on L1-A visa and my extension would be filed by my current employer in couple of months.

My Questions are :

1) Will there be any problem in my L1 Visa extension?
2) Will there any issue in the Visa Interview?
3) What should I do with respect to H1B Petition? (as I dont have any control over it and I DONT want to join the new employer now, as I wish to be with my current Org for longtime)
