Q.

Won DV-2011, Current in Oct 2010 but F-1 expiring on Nov 1, 2010

Dear Lawyer,
I was selected under the DV-2011 (diversity immigrant program); my selection number is current in October 2011 so I will be sending in my Adjustment of Status (AOS) petition on October 1, 2010. However, my F-1 status expires November 1, 2010; exactly one month after filing the AOS petition. To be on the safer side, I want to file for H4 since my wife is on H1B till 2012. My questions:
1. Should I proceed as intended and file for H4?
2. If so, which should I send to USCIS first, the AOS (DV-2011) petition or the H4?
3. Will one jeopardize the chances of the other or considered separately each on its own merit?
4. If am filing H4, what do I need to know, requirements, forms, fees and process?
