EAD expiring on sep 18,will i be in status,not renewed yet?
i have filed I140&I485 concurrently under EB1C,my L1a visa is valid till jan 09,no approvals yet for I140 nor I485,EAD is expiring on sep 19 2008,if i send for renewal on sep 1,it takes 90 to 120 days for approval for EAD,so will I be in status to work for the same company working for 6 years,as my L1A visa is still valid till JAN 2009,or will i be working unlawfully?EAD not used for any other employer,6 yrs same employer LIA category

Either your L-1 status or your EAD allows you to work legally. You only need one, not both, to be authorized to work. However, many people wisely choose to keep both in case there is a problem with one or the other, i.e. revoked, not renewed, lost, etc. |
