Travel related to conditional residency
My wife is currently a conditional resident. We will be applying to lift the residency conditions next month. We are planning to take a 3-week vacation to her parents place in UK in October. Should we apply for a travel document, just to be safe?

You will need to complete and submit a Form I-131, Application for Travel Document, if you are planning to be outside of the U.S. for more than one and less than two years. This will serve to protect your legal permanent resident status.
Since you will be outside the U.S. for only three weeks, no such document is required. |
