How can I switch from B-2 to H-1 visa?
I am currently in US on a valid B-2 status. How do I change my status to H-1B and start working here in US? Is it possible, and what do I need to do?
Thanks!

Dear ChicagoTune:
The H-1b visa category is subject to quota and will not become available again until next year unless Congress passes ameliorative legislation before then (this response might be different if you are a citizen of Singapore or Chile - pls advise).
If your goal is to find employment in the US you might consider other visa options, including J, O, E, L or others. Please let us know if you need more information.
Best,
