Q.

Green card petition for spouses of permanent residents

I have F1 visa(expires on 07/14/2014)& currently working on OPT (expires on 08/28/2012). My husband has Green Card and next week plans on filing petition for my Green Card. I will not get my Green Card before my OPT expires & so will have to leave US by 10/28/2012. I don't want to leave US. I can stay in US if I get H1B or a new I20. Now my question is:
Q1-Should we file my petition for Green Card next week?
Q2-If the answer of Q1 is yes, then, In future if my employer applies for my H1B then will the already filed Green Card petition have any effect on H1B application?
Q3-What will be processing time to get my Green Card if we apply next week? When my turn for Green Card comes & I am in US,then do I have to go to my home country to get visa or can I file for adjustment of status in US
