Green Card filing for father
I am a US citizen wanting to sponsor my father for a Green Card, he is a Canadian Citizen. He is retired, 75 and does not plan on working in the US. He usually spends 3-4 months here in the winter visiting. My questions are:
Is it easiest for him to file paperwork from Canada and wait to immigrate after approved? Is it better to file while he is in US visiting? Once I-131 is mailed in,can he cross the border without any problems if he needed to return to Canada?
