I was called for interview with my spouse (my request for adjustment of status was based on my marriage). However, when we got to the immigration office, our interview was called off because according to the interviewing officer they didn't receive one of the files from the national center. He then advised he'll work hard to expedite our case. It was not until after more than 7 months that I received another letter inviting me (this time my spouse was not specifically invited) to meet an adjudication officer with documents to prove our cohabitation - joint bank account, cancelled checks bearing both names and written by both of us, joint credit accounts, lease agreement, I-864 together with my sponsor's documentation of citizenship or PR, etc.
Is this different from the usual interview?
