Hi,

Currently I am on Student post completion OPT which expires on Jan 22, 2011. I am currently working as a contractor in Software Industry.
I filed for Application for permanent residence (I-485) based on marriage to a US Citizen. It also includes the application for employment authorization (I-765). The status as of today is that i have received the Biometric Appointment notice for Jan 25, 2011 which is well past my OPT expiration date.

My question is that can i continue working after my OPT expires, as my application of adjustment of status is pending. Would that be a problem in anyway for future? I am confused as i have obtained conflicting information from different sources on this issue.
