Family based green card interview
Based on your experience...On the day of or before a marriage based green card interview, does the immigration officer know if the immigrant voted, was registered to vote, or signed I-9's, which is in essence false claims of citizenship? Or do those things only come up if the immigrant or spouse brings up the issue in some way during the interview? What does immigration have on an immigrant before they come to the interview? My friend came legally, but she has been out of status for several years. She is convinced that she will not be discovered, but I am concerned that she could be deported. This is from my own knowledge, but I wondered if you could clear this up based on your expertise. Also, is her being out of status a big issue for her as well, it seems to me that would be. Thank you.
