I am an US citizen and am sponsoring my parents for US permanent residency. I have submitted I130, I485 and I131 together as my parents are already in the US. On their I485, they have received RFEs for birth certificates or non availability certificates as thy were born in 1940s and their births were never registered. We submitted affidavits and school records as secondary evidences alongwith the original submission.Municipal office in India will issue non availability certificates only if they apply in person. They can go to India to collect the documents, but they need approved I131. we need to expedite their I131 so that they can travel to India to get the requested documents. How can we expedite the I 131 processing? Also will a birth certificate from chicago indian consulate work?
