I am currently a LPR since jan 2007 & wish to apply for my wife who is currently out of status since May 2001.
She entered USA legally with a tourist visa.
Initially we thought to wait till I turn a citizen to do anything but recently we were told that i130 priority list for 2a is current which will make the process very fast & we dont have to wait till i turn citizen to apply?

Can I apply for her i130 & if that is approved, can i go ahead & apply for her i485 even though she is out of status & i am a LPR?

Do we have any chances of initiating a deportation?
