Q.

I-130 Approved. Question on Affidavit of Support (I-864)

My wife is going to sponsor my I-864. She has maintained legal status as a PR but hasn’t stayed in US continuously(5 years of PR & took 2 re-entry permits)
She has never worked in US before May10 but in India Mar 07 – Apr10 & her US equivalent income was less than minimum required to mandate filling tax returns in US.
She started working in US in May 2010. We need to file I-485 soon since my VISA is expiring. Based on this please suggest that for I-864:
Should we prepare explanation on why she was not required to file US returns before 2010 & send her US current paystubs only or
Should she file previous 3 years returns now & wait 6 weeks for tax transcripts before we file I-864 or
Is there any other way of filling tax so that we get a proof of returns quicker & USCIS would accept it.
