About 9 years ago my brother filed an I-130 for me at a US consulate abroad. Today we both are in the US. The priority date is becoming current soon and I would like to use it to adjust my status from H1b. The issue is we do have documentation from NVC that they have received the petition from USCIS and that we should choose an agent or attorney that they sent us recently, but we do not have an approval notice from USCIS.
I know the filing date of the I-130 within a 1.5 month period.

I will need an approval notice to file the I-485.

Can you kindly recommend some options of how to approach this issue, how to retrieve proof of an approved I-130?
