Q.

Family based immigration

I am currently living in US on H4 visa and my spouse is on H1-B Visa. My mom is a US naturalized citizen. She is willing to sponsor my Green Card application. What are my options?

If the process is initiated, can I legally live and work in the country as long as the process is going on? Do I have to maintain my H4 or any other legal status?

I come under Family based third category. Can my spouse be included in the application? Does she also need to maintain her H1-B status or any other legal status as long as the process is going on?

While the application is being processed, can I travel abroad?
