Q.

Green Card - Adjustment of Status

I have filed for AOS for my mom( concurrent filing)last week (7th May). I am yet to receive acknowledgement/receipt from USCIS.
Her I-94 expires on the 18th May. Will she go out of status if we do not receive the receipt by 18th? Should we wait for the receipt or should she consider going back to India on/before 18th.Please clarify and if possible let me know what the options are.

Note : USPS tracking indicates that the express mail( I-130/I-485) has reached the receipient (Chicago USCIS office) on the 8th.
