Traveling with H1B and submission of Family Based GC Application

I'm here in US with H1B visa and will not expire anytime soon. I have not filed I-130 nor I-485. My US citizen wife and I are planning to visit Japan for 2 weeks for this holiday season. I do not have AP and planning to come back with H1B. I understand that this shouldn't be a problem. (since I haven't submit anything for FB process anyway). but I got all the FB immigration paper work done and ready to submit now. Do you suggest me to submit after I come back from Japan or it doesn't matter if I submit them now... Since my I-94 entry date will change I'm not sure if I should wait.. Thank you for your help.
