Q.

Child Support for Immigrant

I would like to know if a legal immigrant on a 10 year visa who wants to become a permanent resident applies for child support will that affect her becoming a permanent resident? She's afraid because child support is seen by a judge that it will affect her becoming a resident in the U.S. Thank you.
