Q.

Validity of Visitors visa during Family Based GC filing

My parents are in US on a visitor's visa. This visa is valid till 2011. Their family based GC was filed on Aug 24th 2009. Their I-130 and I485-Adjustment of Status was filed simultaneously. If, for some reason their GC gets denied at any stage of the process - would they be considered out of status? Would their visitors visa still be valid or do they need to reapply again?
