Hi,

I'm asking this question for my friend. He is an Indian national and currently doing MBA in UK. His father is a GC holder and had applied for his green card in feb 2008 (He was less than 21 years old at that time, now he is 22. The petition is in pending state). Now my friend want to come to US for higher studies and plan to file for F1 visa. My questions are,

1. In this situation is he eligible to apply for F1 visa ?

2. If yes, will the F1 petition affect the current GC petition in anyway ?

3, If he gets F1 and finish studies in US, Can he go for H1 visa later ?
