Q.

F1 to H1 and back to F1

-Graduated June 08 got OPT valid till 30th July 09. -Got H1 approval with COS in April 09 based on which OPT extended till 30th Sept. -Not inclined to join H1 sponsor as already some layoffs taking place. -Got new I-20 for a course that commenced 31st Aug 09. Kindly advise (a)Should employer who filed my H1 formally revoke it. If yes, what exactly is to be done OR no action required as my new I-20 means that my F1 status continues (H1 and consequently COS only kicks in on 1st October. (b)My COS has already kicked in on 31st July (once original OPT expired and extension thereafter was due to my approved H1 status). As such I should again apply for a change of status from H1 to F1. (c )If I have missed something above, what is the best course of action in my case.
