My brother (17 years old) currently has a B1/B2 visitor visa that expires on 2013. He recently applied for a F1 visa at the US Embassy in Venezuela, but during his interview they put his application on hold until 221(g) administrative proccess is completed. Since this process can take weeks, months or years;
1. Can my brother travel for vacation during Christmas if by then he has not received yet an answer?
2. If they denied is student visa, can he still travel later with is B1/B2 visa (only as a tourist)?
3. Can they denied his student visa and revoke his visitor visa? even though his sister is a US Legal Permanent Resident?
