Q.

OPT Extension and H1-B

My EAD expired on 07/26/09
Company A had applied for my H1 FY2010- Approved
Got laid off on 07/31/09
Company B applied for my OPT Extension (STEM Degree) on 07/23/09
OPT Extension case status: Pending
Got a better offer from Company C-start date 10/01/09
Company C is applying for my H1 again for FY2010 next week.
What is my current legal status?Am i on Capgap from Company A or am i on OPT Extension from Company B?
The USCIS case status for H1 applied by company A doesn't mention its withdrawn. Does my OPT Extension take into effect?
Is there any problem with company C applying for my H1,since the start date is only 10/01/09
Do i need to cancel my OPT Extension petition(Pending) because of this?
Can one process both H1 and OPT Extn at the same time from diff employers?
