Q.

Change of status from H4 to F1 and H1B

Hi,
I came to US on H4 Visa in Feb 2008. I got enrolled in a College and applied for change of status to F1. While my application was pending a company applied for change of status from H4 to H1B also.
I got my F1 approved in March 2009 and as I had to travel outside US in April 2009, I got my F1 stamped.
My H4 to H1 change is still pending and the lawyer has responded to a RFE last week. I wanted to know -
1. If my H1 got approved then what will be my status and what will I need to do to start working with the company.
2. If my H1 got denied, will I still be in the F1 status and stay in US, or will my F1 get cancelled and I will have to leave US.
