F2 petition

Hello Atty. Mikhailov,

I arrive here in the US last June 2007 thru the Touritst visa. Two months after, I applied for a change of status (From B1 visitor visa to F1 student visa) and my F1 status was approved last December 2007. I am lawfully attending a non-credit school from December 2007 until the present, which is already my second year under the F1 visa. I want to petition my husband and 3 children (ages 15, 14 & 9) to come with me here in the U.S. The ff. are my questions:

1) Can I petition for them as my dependents (under F2 visa) considering that I obtained my F1 status here in the US and not in my country?

2) If yes, what are the requirements, how much is the cost, and how long will it take for the F2 petition to be approved? Thank you.

Angela
