I am currently on F1 status and graduated in Dec'08. My OPT started from 22nd Dec'08 and I want to visit to India for a month in April/May 09 for my marriage. I started working for a software consulting company from Feb16th and they are also planning to apply for H1 on April 1st 2009.
New OPT rules says I cannot be unemployed for more than 90 days in my 12 month OPT period. What are the risks involved in traveling to India as I was already unemployed for almost 60 days of my OPT and what precautions/documents I need to take when I travel to India?
