Q.

F2/F1

I’m from Russia, but I’ve got my US visa in Ukraine,as I have a residence visa there. I came to the US with my husband 3 months ago. As a student,he has F-1 visa and I have F-2,as a dependent.
I plan to study for an MBA from Sep ‘12 and I know that, if admitted, I need to change F-2 to F-1. But for now I want to take 4-weeks ESL (English as a 2nd language) courses and I need F-1 visa for them too.
1.Is it possible to change F-2 to F-1 for 4 weeks (now) and for 2 years for the MBA (in summer)?
2.Where can I do that in Houston? How long does it take?
(I’ll go to Ukraine just in summer ‘12.)
3.If I decide to take the ESL courses and the MBA program in the same university, is it possible to get F-1 visa once for both, even courses start in Jan/Feb ‘12 and the MBA program in Sep ‘12?
