UNVA student on OPT
Hi,
I am a former student at University of Northern Virginia. I am on F1 status and working on OPT which is valid till 10/10/2011. I applied for a change of status from F1 to H1B in April and got approval in June. H1-B will be effective from 10/01/2011. UNVA has been raided by immigration officials three days back. Here are the details - http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/ICE-Rai...
I want to know:
What are my options to keep my status maintained in case the school shuts down or its privileges to admit foreign students is taken away?
Will it impact my H1-B as it was applied under masters quota?
What would be the best course of action for me right now?
