COS from F1 to H-1B
Hi Dimitar,
I held H-1B status for 6 months from Oct 2008 -Mar 2009. Currently I am in F1 (OPT) status and would like to change my status back to H1. My question to you is: can I request my start date to be October 1, 2011 and keep my OPT status till that date, or since its a H-1B recapture, my start date for H-1B will be in effect as soon as the H1 application is approved? I am just trying to weight what options I have to save time both on my OPT and F1 status.
