OPT Extension to H1B before regular start date

Hello Mr. Dimitar Michailov,

I am a US graduate currently working on F1 OPT-extn, for a IT service provider company A which sent me on a 2-year contract position to a client company B.

Now the company B is willing to hire me full-time. The company B is not participating in E-Veriy, but is willing to sponsor a H1B visa.

From my understanding, If I'm not wrong, Since the 2011 H1B quota was already filled up, they can file in the 2012 quota, which is at the earliest on 04/01/2011 with a COS from F1 to H1B.

Now what does the COS mean if I get approval by, say 05/01. Does my OPT terminate by 04/30 and I can start working for the company B from 05/01 or do I have to wait until 08/01(Regular start date)

"Company B is a fortune 15 and I don't want to miss a golden opportunity"
