Hello Sir,

I have a long experience in trading stocks and options and have F1 Visa .Can I open a personal account with any broker here in U.S ?
Do I have the right to do so and whether my trading would affect my Visa status or not. I was wondering and curious to know what is my legal right when I am here because I read at the IRS website that trading a personal account won't be considered as a business so to speak. I am trying to support myself and that won't contradict with my main goal which is having a better education . Hopefully, my question is clear and please let me know also about the taxes regulations to an international F1 or F2 Visa holder who has a portfolio or a broker account.
