Q.

Travel out side on OPT for 4 weeks , with out using my H1b visa

I have a Valid F1 visa till 2011 and valid work permit through OPT EAD till june 2009.I have completed my graduatioin in June 2008 and got EAD to work on OPT till June 2009. I have applied for H1 B in 2008 through councellor processing. My H1b petition is picked in lottery and approved, but i have not applied for change of status in October 2008. I am continuing working on my F1 EAD (OPT) and have plans to apply for change of status in June 2009 (When my OPT term ends)

Q1. Is it leagal to travel outside US on OPT with out using/applying for change of status to approved H1b in 2008?(Tavel plans in March 2009 for 4 weeks,I have a job which goes till 2009 June))

Q2. If yes, What documents should i carry with me during travel to avoid any problems?
